Writing

As a ‘digital nomad’ Shannon Kernaghan traveled and wrote from an RV, battling tornadoes, hail, rogue wildlife and sketchy people. And yet she survived.

Kernaghan’s passion is storytelling in all forms. From short fiction and nonfiction to poetry and essays, her works range from satire to self-help and appear in books, journals and magazines.

For many years she wrote a weekly newspaper column for the Red Deer Advocate.

Her first published book was How to Sell Your Home Privately (Dundurn Press), and her Like Minds collection won the New Muse Award for Short Fiction (Broken Jaw Press).

She also has several indie titles — explore her links below for more.

As writer/researcher for a communications consulting firm, Shannon has worked with an extensive portfolio of clients, creating content for industries and professional groups across the U.S. and Canada.
